I take a highly personalized and integrative approach to weight loss. Whether you are looking to lose weight for health reasons or aesthetic purposes, successful & safe weight loss consists of developing and maintaining a series of healthy lifestyle changes. I offer in-person or virtual sessions via Zoom.
Building consistent habits around nutrition and movement and learning to set realistic goals are the cornerstone of our weight loss coaching programs. Create a healthy eating plan with foods that you like. Develop exercise habits that fit your lifestyle. Receive support and accountability from a certified health professional. Practicing healthy stress management techniques, improving sleep, and managing social eating & drinking are other areas often included in our plans.
I am a Certified Emotional Eating Coach. The Body Way Emotional Eating Program is an optional part of your program. Learn new tools to identify and manage stress and emotions without food.
Every coaching program is unique to your goals and needs. I have worked successfully with women and men of all ages for 25 years. Whether you are looking to lose weight for your wedding, a special event, after the birth of your child, to manage your diabetes, heart disease or cholesterol, or just to look better and have more energy & confidence - your program will be custom designed based on your preferences, resources, lifestyle & budget.
Each person has unique challenges to achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight. There is no one weight loss plan or strategy that is right for everyone. The following are a few components we'll consider when designing your personal weight loss program:
1. Create a realistic plan with clear goals & accountability
2. Weigh-In at least once per week
3. Get moving - cultivate consistent exercise habits
4. Log Food with an app or paper journal
5. Plan and prepare meals - weekly meal planning is one of the most important habits to cultivate
6. Strategize for social eating & drinking
7. Develop healthy sleep habits
8. Relinquish the perfectionist mindset
9. Take the '80/20 approach' - replace rigid thinking & food plans with 'flexible control'
10. Practice Mindfulness to reduce stress, anxiety, depressive symptoms and binge eating
All weight loss coaching programs begin with a 2-hour Design Session. During this meeting we will complete the following: Vision, 3-Month Goals & First Week's Goals. Coaching sessions are available in 45-minute or 60-minute sessions. Programs are structured in 12-week sections. The 90-day commitment gives you time to get started, make progress, overcome a few challenges and continue to succeed. After achieving your goals, a maintenance plan is recommended. Set-up a complimentary consultaton to get started.
core harmony™ weight loss programs include a combined focus on healthy eating, exercise, behavior change and counseling with a certified health professional. A portion of your program may be covered by your health insurance company. Please check with your provider to see if your plan offers this benefit.
