I provide personal training and online personal training via Zoom. I take a comprehensive approach - designing programs that include cardiovascular training, strength training, flexibility training and basic nutrition guidance. What are your goals? Personal training is effective for weight loss; building muscle strength, tone & definition; decreasing body fat; increasing flexibility; developing balance; and improving agility. You'll learn proper form, breathing & pace - improving results and reducing the risk of injury. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and have been in private practice for 25 years.
Pilates is a system of strength training that also focuses on maintaining or restoring the natural curves and articulation of the spine. Subtle changes in alignment can result in profound changes in the body. Pilates training is beneficial for toning and creating definition in the abs, improving posture and for rehabilitating orthopedic or back injuries. I am a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructorfor both Pilates Mat and Pilates Reformer. I provide in-person sessions for pilates mat and reformer to clients in their homes. Clients must provide their own equipment. I offer online training to clients via Zoom.
Yoga can include practicing yoga poses, breathing or meditation, or study of yoga philosophy. Benefits of yoga include increased flexibility, moblity and balance; a calmer state of mind - including reduced stress & anxiety; and increased focus & attention. I have been studying Iyengar yoga for 25 years and integrate a combination of flow yoga and props into my practice. My yoga teaching is strongly influenced by extensive study of Iyengar yog with Patricia Walden and Tias Little. I am certified certified Hatha Yoga Instructor.
Derived from ballet and dance - barre is a studio style workout that combines movement and music. Barre requires a wall or freestyle wooden barre to use as a tool while performing pliés, etc… and it is easy to incorporate a few barre exercises into any workout by substituting a chair or other prop. Barre cultivates stamina & grace - and is fun! I am a Total Barre™Qualified Instructor.
Private Sessions: $115 / hour; $140/ 75-minutes; $170/ 90-minutes. Small Groups (hourly) Duet: $120; Trio: $130; Quad: $140/; Quintet: $150.
Personal training Newton, Greater Boston includes 30-minutes complimentary travel from Newton for in-home personal training sessions.
